August 19, 2014 - BizFed and LACCD co-hosted this meeting at LACCD's Van de Kamp Campus. There were over 70 representatives in attendance from Business and Industry and multiple Chambers of Commerce. May 1, 2014 - LACCD and LAUSD hosted the inaugural meeting for the LA Regional Career Pathways Initiative, which is a united effort between the large educational systems in the Los Angeles region. Through this initiative, educational issues are identified and strategies are deployed to gather data and identify potential solutions. This initiative also allows for an open forum for developing partnerships and shared-resources. |

& Important Dates Mar 25, 2016, Dr. Chito co-hosts the Industry Talent Generator meeting with BizFed and Metro. Discussion focused on creating a pipeline of talent for targeted industry sectors. Mar 2016, LACCD (with Trustee Svonkin, Chancellor Rodriguez, and Dr. Chito Cajayon) hosted a BizFed Roundtable with California Superintendent Torlakson. The meeting included local business leaders and discussed regional workforce development and educational strategies. Feb 2016, Dr. Chito and the LACCD Chancellor host the first meeting of the AB 288 initiative. The meeting included LAUSD's Chief Academic Officer, administrators and faculty. Jan 2016, LACCD hosts a BizFed Leadership Roundtable meeting with State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tom Torlakson. June 25, 2015 LACCD (with BizFed and LAEDC) co-hosted a Business Leadership Roundtable meeting with guest speaker Darrell Steinberg. Discussion focused on current and future strategies for the Career Pathways Trust initiative.
