West Coast Motion (WCM) is a Southern California Automotive, Truck & Transit collaboration
between business & industry, regional community colleges, and the workforce development
system. This group seeks to work together in order to initiate the development
of career pathways for career-minded individuals, assist in creating a pipeline
of better-skilled workers, and help upgrade the Automotive, Truck and Transit
Industries towards sustainable business practices. OBJECTIVES
1) Secure
local/state/Federal grants to cover the cost of training current and future workers
2) Identify current and future hiring needs of regional businesses
3)
Host industry-driven forums to expand capacity of regional corporations and establish
a foundation for information-exchange about emerging products and trends | |
